51 things Your Kiddos Can Do this Summer!

With tomorrow being the first official day of summer, I wanted to provide you with 51 ideas/activities to do this summer with the kiddos!  Many (well most) are pretty easy to do. Enjoy and here’s to an awesome  summer 2017!

  1. Go swimming
  2. Check out the latest summer family-friendly movies
  3. Have your favorite classmates over during the summer break
  4. Go to an amusement/Water Park
  5. Go to a sports or creative arts camp
  6. Spend the day at the park (picnic and all).
  7. Start a kid-friendly business i.e. lemonade/ice tea stand anyone?
  8. Learn to cook a yummy summer dish
  9. Build something
  10. Have a kids only BBQ (parents must be present for grilling LOL)
  11. Go to the beach
  12. Learn to ride a bike or to skate
  13. Read a book for each summer month
  14. Create a club for you and your neighborhood friends
  15. Check on an elderly neighbor during the week.
  16. Try a new hair style
  17. Have a yard sale for toys you no longer use
  18. Plant a small garden of your favorite vegetable(s).
  19. Try a new park in a different neighborhood
  20. Play old school games- tag, hide and go seek, Red light, green light, “Mama may I?”
  21. Visit family members in different states
  22. Camp out in your own backyard….not a fan of outdoors? Camp inside
  23. Go fishing
  24. Attend VBS (Vacation Bible School)
  25. Take a boat/ferry ride
  26. See the fireworks on the 4th of July
  27. Try a new class at your neighborhood community center
  28. Make a video documentary of how you spent your summer vacation
  29. Check out your neighborhood library for free summer activities.
  30. Make your own ice cream sandwiches
  31. Have an afternoon at the movies at your house
  32.  Have a water balloon ride
  33. Have a summer Olympics with your favorite sports/games.
  34. Visit a new museum
  35. Make jewelry
  36. Visit the zoo
  37. Make your own popsicles
  38. Make your own T-shirt out of Puffy Paint
  39. Have a game night
  40. Have a bike/car wash
  41. Bake and deliver cookies the fire department
  42. Catch lightening bugs
  43. Have weekly puzzle races between siblings and parents
  44. Make slime
  45. Try a new science experiment (volcanoes with baking soda and vinegar maybe)?
  46. Learn to jump rope, double dutch or both!
  47. Have a technology free day
  48. Make smoothies
  49. Go go-cart racing
  50. Miniature golf anyone?
  51. Attend a concert or play
